1. Program Overview
DealerSlate LLC ("DealerSlate," "we," "us," or "our") provides a transactional SMS messaging program on behalf of subscribing automotive dealerships. Through this program, dealership customers receive text message notifications regarding the status of their plates, registration, and title documents following a vehicle purchase.
2. Message Types
Messages sent through the DealerSlate SMS program are strictly transactional and may include:
- Document ready notifications: Alerts when plates, registration, or title documents are ready for pickup at the dealership.
- Partial status updates: Notifications when some documents have arrived while others are still pending.
- Pickup reminders: Follow-up messages reminding customers that documents are still waiting for pickup.
- Shipping notifications: Alerts when documents have been shipped to the customer with tracking information.

4. How Consent Is Collected
Consent to receive SMS messages through DealerSlate is collected by the subscribing dealership during the vehicle purchase process. The process works as follows:
- During the sales or finance transaction, the dealership collects the customer's mobile phone number and presents an SMS consent disclosure as part of the standard purchase documentation.
- The customer authorizes text message notifications by signing the SMS consent disclosure, which states that the customer agrees to receive transactional text messages from DealerSlate on behalf of the dealership regarding the status of their plates, registration, and title documents.
- This written consent and mobile number are recorded in the dealership's Dealer Management System (DMS) and transmitted to DealerSlate along with the customer's deal information.
- Only customers who have provided written consent receive SMS messages. Customers without consent on file or marked as "do not contact" in the DMS are excluded from all messaging.
DealerSlate does not independently collect phone numbers or consent. All customer contact information and consent originates from the dealership's own signed purchase documentation and DMS records.
5. Message Frequency
Messages are transactional only and are sent in response to specific events (documents arriving, pickup reminders). Customers typically receive 1–3 messages per vehicle purchase:
- Day 0: Initial notification when documents are received at the dealership.
- Day 3: A follow-up reminder if documents have not been picked up.
No marketing or promotional messages are ever sent through this program.
6. Opt-Out
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Upon receiving your opt-out request, you will be immediately removed from the messaging program and will receive a final confirmation message. No further messages will be sent.

8. Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan. DealerSlate is not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier.
9. Data Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

10. Carrier Disclaimer
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier. DealerSlate is not responsible for messages that are not delivered due to carrier issues, network congestion, or device incompatibility.
